COTK

Auf der diesjährigen Musikmesse Frankfurt haben wir das neue CLUB OF THE KNOBS C950 Polyclavier vorgestellt.
Für Idee, Logik und Software zeichne ich verantwortlich. Ich denke, es ist uns ein guter Wurf gelungen. Ich
möchte die Features in Kurzform wiedergeben:

- 5 Stimmen CV / Gate
- pro Zone ein eigener HOLD-Schalter mit paralleler Footswitch-Buchse (Funktion wie Sustainpedal)
- Pitchbend und Modulationsrad sowie eingebauter LFO
- 2 Zonen splitbar / Splitpunkt an Oktavgrenzen schaltbar
- Stimmenzuteilung 0/5 - 1/4 - 2/3 - 3/2 - 4/1 - 5/0
- automatisches Unisono, falls mehr Stimmen vorhanden als Töne gespielt
- jede Zone erhält zusätzlich einen "Common Gate" (für den Betrieb mit nur einer Hüllkurve)
- alle Modi rechts/links komplett unabhängig schaltbar
- 3 Monomodes (lowest, highest und last Note)
- 2 Polymodes (Normal mit Gate/Stimme und "Common Gate", d.h. polyphon, aber nur ein Gate)
- 3 Arpeggio Modes (up, down, up-down) jeweils über den kompletten Zonenbereich
- Transpose-Schalter - die linke Zone transponiert die rechte Zone
- beim Transpose sind alle gemischten Kombinationen möglich, Arpeggio transponiert Akkord etc..
- Arpeggio gleichzeitig rechts/links ergibt sehr abgefahrene, unkalkulierbare Muster (siehe Demo oben)
- zusätzliche AUX-Out CV Buchse - z.Zt. für Velocity bzw. Keyboard Tracking geplant
- Clock-In Buchse für Arpeggio, Arpeggio-Gates spiegeln den Clock-In wieder
- MIDI-OUT/ MIDI-IN Buchsen mit LINK Schalter, dadurch "Local-OFF" Modus
- MIDI-Clock Steuerung des Arpeggio möglich
- auch als reines Modul erhältlich
- Standard sind 4 Oktaven - 5 Oktaven bei Aufpreis
- Das Gehäuse wird es neben der gezeichneten Studio-Variante auch in der P-Version geben

Here´s a short overview of the C950´s capabilities:

- 5 voices CV / gate (5 octaves range)
- two splitzones. Splitpoint can be any C. Lowest C selected means: only right zone available
- Pitchbend and Mod-Wheels and a built in LFO
- a HOLD (Sustain) switch for each zone parallel to footswitch jacks on the rear panel
- voices can be assigned in combinations 0/5 - 1/4 - 2/3 - 3/2 - 4/1 - 5/0
- automatic unisono, if more voices assigned than played
- each zone has got it´s own "Common Gate" (for single envelope setups)
- all modes can be selected independently for left / right zone
- 3 Monomodes (lowest, highest and last note)
- 2 Polyphonic modes ("normal" where each voice has got it´s own gate and "common gate mode")
- 3 Arpeggio Modes (up, down, up-down) , arpeggio allows full range on keyboard
- transpose switch, if ON, right zone is transposed by left zone
- all mixed modes possible, i.e. a chord played in right zone can be transposed by left arpeggio
- arpeggio left+right at the same time will result in unpredictable patterns (listen to demo)
- additional AUX-Out CV jack - currently for keyboard tracking or velocity output CV
- Clock-In jack for arpeggio, common gates will mirror the input gate pw
- MIDI-OUT/ MIDI-IN connectors with Local ON / OFF switch
- arpeggio can be triggered by MIDI-Clock
- available as 3 unit width module
- 4 octaves keyboard - 5 octaves on special order
- the keyboard case will be available as "studio" or "portable" version
